Scope Tickets x Revolut Partnership Announcement
Scope Tickets partners with Revolut on payments
Faster payouts for organisers, quicker checkout and double RevPoints for fans
We're excited to announce that Scope Tickets has partnered with Revolut for payments. Checkout on Scope now runs through our own Revolut merchant account. That means faster payouts for the organisers we work with, a quicker way to pay for ticket buyers, and double RevPoints for anyone who checks out with Revolut Pay.
It's a big step for us, and the timing matters. Scope is growing faster than ever, and with Revolut behind our payments we have a partner that can keep up as we grow across Ireland and the UK.
Why Revolut
Our buyers are young, on their phones and already on Revolut. 95% of tickets on Scope are bought on a phone, and many of our buyers are students and people in their twenties heading to gigs, club nights and festivals. Revolut is used by 3 million people in Ireland and more than 80 million worldwide. For most of our audience it's already the way they pay, so it made sense to build our checkout around it.
What it means for organisers
Faster payouts. Revolut pays out to us the next day, weekends included, so your money gets to you quicker. You still choose how you're paid: daily, weekly or monthly, per event, per series or all together. Every payout comes with a payout report and ledger.
Fewer failed payments. Revolut Pay customers pay straight from their Revolut account without typing in card details. That means fewer declined cards and dropped checkouts when a big on-sale hits, and Revolut reports approval rates of up to 98.5% on Revolut Pay payments.
Nothing to set up. It's already live across Scope. There's nothing to switch on, and nothing changes in how you run your events.
What it means for fans
Revolut Pay sits in our checkout next to card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Revolut customers tap it, confirm in the app and they're done. There are no card details to type, and no Scope account or app to download. Checkout on Scope already takes under a minute, and Revolut Pay makes it quicker again.
There's a bonus too. Revolut customers signed up to RevPoints earn double points when they pay with Revolut Pay. They can redeem those points for discounts, airline miles and more.
Students have taken to it fast. In 40% of student orders on Scope were paid with Revolut Pay.
Where we are now
We started trading in 2021 with a simple idea: ticketing should be easy for the people running events and easy for the people buying tickets. Five years on, we've processed more than €11 million in ticket sales for more than 350,000 people, with over 1,000 events live on the platform.
We work with more Students' Unions than any other ticketing provider in Ireland, including our new partners at TU Dublin. BICS recommends Scope as the preferred ticketing platform for college societies. Off campus, we sell tickets for promoters like Reboot, for venues including the Red Cow Exchange, and for Dublin City Council's Winter Lights, now in its third year with us.
Payments are the part of ticketing people notice most when it goes wrong and least when it works. Revolut helps us make sure nobody has to notice.
"Revolut is how our audience already pays, so building around it was an easy call," said Gary O'Neill, co-founder and Head of Sales at Scope Tickets. "For organisers, it means their money lands faster. For fans, it's a quicker checkout and double RevPoints on the way in. And for us, it's a payments partner that can keep up as we grow across Ireland and the UK."
