Scope wins Tech/Innovation at the South Dublin Local Enterprise Awards 2024

Recognition from the Local Enterprise Office that has backed us for years

Scope Tickets has won the Tech/Innovation award at the Local Enterprise Awards South Dublin 2024. The awards were run by LEO South Dublin and held on Thursday 7 March at the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght. Gary O'Neill and Daniele di Tofano collected the award on the night.

This one means a lot to us. The Local Enterprise Office has supported Scope for a long time, and it's where plenty of good Irish businesses get their start. Being recognised by the people who have watched us grow, in our own part of Dublin, feels different from any other award.

A room full of Irish businesses

The awards covered everything from food and drink to export, green business and the creative economy. It was a proper reminder of how much is being built in South Dublin. Congratulations to every winner on the night

What the award recognises

Tech/Innovation is about building something new and doing it well. For us, that's making ticketing simpler for everyone involved. Fans buy tickets on their phone in seconds. Organisers run their events, watch sales come in and get people through the door without the usual hassle. And when something goes wrong, there's a real person on our team to sort it.

Over the last year we rebuilt Scope's platform from the ground up so it can handle bigger on-sales and more events. This award, on top of the Best App and Best Newcomer awards we won at the 2022 Digital Media Awards, tells us that work is being noticed.

"The Local Enterprise Office has been in our corner for a long time, so winning this one at home in South Dublin means a lot," said Gary O'Neill, co-founder and Head of Sales at Scope Tickets. "There were some brilliant Irish businesses in that room, and to be picked for Tech/Innovation among them is a proud moment for the whole team. We've a big year ahead, and we can't wait to share more soon."
